Reynolds’ move comes as the industry steps up its investment in alternatives to traditional cigarettes. Mr Delen acknowledged that the electronic market faced an uncertain regulatory environment. The US Food and Drug Administration has said it plans to regulate e-cigarettes, but has yet to propose formal rules.
