One problem in factually verifying Apple's true market share standing in the
Q88
Android Tablet industry is that, of all the tablet manufacturers on
the planet, only Apple's iPad actually reports its unit sales. That fact makes
it much easier for market research companies to estimate numbers of competing
shipments with variable degrees of accuracy and with zero accountability.
IDC hasn't reported its Q2 tablet figures yet, but for the quarter
ending March 2013, it said the industry sold a total of 49.2 million tablets.
Apple reported selling 19.5 million, more than the rest of IDC's top five
(Samsung, Asus, Amazon and Microsoft) combined. But that wasn't enough to
account for more than 40% of the tablet market, IDC reported, because "Other"
had sold a whopping 15.5 million tablets.
Curiously, for the same Q1
2013, Digitimes Research reported just two buckets of tablets: iPad and
"non-iPad." While it agreed with IDC on the number of tablets that Apple sold,
it reported that the rest of the industry only sold 12.4 million, 2.3 million
fewer than IDC counted among just the top five, even before wondering who the
"Other" was selling those 15.5 million IDC tablets without a readily
recognizable name attached to them.
In total, Digitimes counted 17.8
million fewer tablets than IDC. That's nearly as many doppelgänger tablets as
Apple sold worldwide. That's way too large of a difference to be attributed to a
rounding error. At least one of these firms is completely not even close to
providing useful quarterly tablet numbers.dssS2SAAa
Next up, look at
Strategy Analytics, which reported "global branded tablet" shipments of 40.6
million in Q1. Once again, the only number it reported in common with IDC and
Digitimes is Apple's 19.5 million iPads.
Strategy Analytics reported 3
million tablets running Windows, while IDC said Microsoft alone had shipped 0.9
million and that "total combined Windows 8 and Windows RT shipments across all
vendors reached 1.8 million," a difference of 1.2 million, or just 40 percent of
Strategy Analytics' figure for Windows tablets.
Given that there isn't
much going on outside of iPad, Android and Windows in the 8 inch android tablet
space, IDC's remainder of 27.9 non-iPad, non-Windows tablets is in even greater
discrepancy with Strategy Analytics, which counted 18.1 million branded tablets
fitting that description. That's 9.8 million non-Windows, non-iPad devices that
have gone missing, quite nearly half the number IDC counted. On the other hand,
Strategy Analytics is also 8.7 million tablets in excess of Digitimes.
Being off by around nine million units in either direction is a pretty
vast error. That's the total number of PCs Dell sold in the quarter. At least
two of these market research companies are not even close to reporting the
actual numbers for tablets sold in the industry. It is insulting to intelligence
that these numbers are so obviously garbage, yet are recited as established fact
by any journalist who gets the press release in their inbox. The tablet industry
is clearly full of phony information, whether by intent or incompetence.

10 inch android tablet sales in India to grow over 100% in FY'14-Priceangels.com
Rising number of people on the move, preference for a lighter device and better
affordability are expected to drive an over 100 per cent growth in tablet sales
in the country to 3.84 million this fiscal, says industry body
MAIT.
10 inch android tablet sales in India, that is counted among the leading markets for sale of tablets and smartphones globally, stood at 1.90 million in 2012-13 fiscal, data provided by IT hardware industry body Manufacturers Association of Information Technology (MAIT) shows.According to MAIT's annual industry performance review, conducted by market research firm IMRB International, tablets are eating into sales of desktops, notebooks and netbooks.

The 2012-13 fiscal has been the year for the tablet PC with consumers preferring it over PC as replacement, MAIT President J V Ramamurthy said. The combination of basic functioning of a PC coupled with affordability is turning the tide in its favour, he added.Compared to the growth in tablets, PC sales are expected to rise by a modest 8 per cent to 12.11 million in the current fiscal against 11.17 million in 2012-13 fiscal, he added.
"Tablets are cannibalising the PC market and registering a phenomenal growth of 424 per cent in the second consecutive year," Ramamurthy said.Tablet sales in 2012-13 stood at 1.9 million units against 0.36 million in 2011-12.On the growth in Q88 Android Tablet sales, research firm IMRB Group Business Director Biswapriya Bhattacharjee said as an increasing number of professionals are working on the field or are travelling, tablets are a preferred devices as they are light and handy.dfdWG4fa
Tablets are here to stay and in the future more evolved versions will hit the markets, he told PTI.In 3-5 years time, we see the existence of two devices -- a computation devices and a creation device. People will be using more of the computation devices like smartphones and tablets, he added.
Bhattacharjee said that the smartphone and tablet space could merge in the future with the existence of a 5-inch screen device, which would be the mainstay. We already know that Android is, and has been for a while, the most dominant force in the smartphone market, but the tablet market is an area which has typically been a bit harder to crack. However, the latest research put together by Strategy Analytics shows that Android is also breaking away from the rest of the pack in the tablet market too.
The research found that global tablet shipments grew again over the previous year, with 51.7 million units shipped in the second quarter of the year. Last year, 36.1 million units shipped during the same quarter, so the global tablet market has grown by 43 percent over the past 12 months.
Looking specifically at each operating system, Android latest tablets accounted for 34.6 million of global tablet shipments, whereas Google’s largest rival, Apple, only accounted for 14.6 million. Percentage wise, Android tablets have grown by 87 percent over the year, whilst Apple experienced a 14 percent decline.

FDA Updates Q88 Android Tablet Labeling to Limit Usage-Priceangels.com
The labeling for the antifungal product tablet (ketoconazole; Janssen) tablets
has been updated to include warnings indicating that the drug can cause severe
liver injuries and adrenal gland problems. It has also been linked to harmful
drug interactions with other medications.

Limitation of the usage of android 8 inch android tablet by removing indications in which the risk outweighs the benefits. The use of ketoconazole tablets in Candida and dermatophyte infections is no longer indicated. android tablets should be used only when other antifungal drugs are not available or tolerated by the patient. (Boxed Warning, Warnings, Precautions, and Indications and Usage sections)
android tablets are indicated only for the treatment of the following fungal infections: blastomycosis, coccidioidomycosis, histoplasmosis, chromomycosis, and paracoccidioidomycosis in patients in whom other treatments have failed or who are intolerant to other therapies (Indications and Usage section).android tablets are not indicated for the treatment of fungal infections of the skin or nails.A new contraindication that android tablets should not be used in patients with acute or chronic liver disease (Contraindications section).
The fact that both tablets have been made by Asus won’t ease the competition. The company recently upgraded its Fonepad tablet and now the Intel-powered slate has a faster processor and enhanced storage of 32GB. Right off the bat, the Fonepad has one leg up on the Nexus 7, which will most likely be launched in a 16GB avatar in India. Tablets are fast becoming the go-to option for media consumption on the go and the extra storage will certainly help Fonepad get more interest. sfk4FSs
One major advantage for the Fonepad is the fact that it has voice calling, which seems to be a popular spec point for many tablet buyers. Another point in the Fonepad’s favour is the larger battery – 4,270 mAh vs the Nexus 7’s 3950 mAh battery. Both are rated for 10 hours of use, but we think real world experience will be different and the lower resolution and the (relatively) under-powered processor will help the Fonepad.
In terms of design, there’s not much separating both tablets, but the dimensions of the Nexus 7 (200 x 114 x 8.6mm) are more suited for one-handed handling than the Fonepad (196.4 x 120.1 x 10.4 mm) since the Google tablet is narrower and thinner. The matte black back of the Nexus 8 will also be more palatable to all tastes than the Fonepad’s champagne gold and silver trims.
The Samsung tablet sports a 5MP rear camera and a 1.9MP front camera. The Nexus 7’s back camera has the same megapixel count and performance should be more or less in the same territory. The front-facing camera on the Nexus 7 is a slightly lower 1.2-megapixel unit, but we reckon the slight difference won’t be noticeable in video calls.
The battery of the Q88 Android Tablet once again comes up short and this could be a real problem area for the tablet as we are seeing smaller tablets come with large battery these days. The Samsung device has a healthy 4450 mAh battery and coupled with the lower resolution display and the dual-core processor, the battery should ideally be much better than the Nexus 7’s.

Do the job of holding a 10 inch android tablet in place-Priceangels.com
Constructed of metal and tough plastics, the PanaVise line of Portagrip
10 inch android
tablet mounts are as durable as they come. But the 15509 Portagrip
also shows they can accommodate some extreme applications. This particular
tablet mount, intended to suction cup to a windshield, incorporates a very long,
extendable arm, making it suitable for cars with very wide dashboards,
recreational vehicles, or construction equipment.
The tablet clamp is the same piece that PanaVise uses across its line of Portagrip mounts. This clamp has a soft backing, so as not to mar any 10 inch android tablet placed in its care. The short, or bottom end of the clamp, has two little feet that swivel so they can be pushed out of the way.
Two spring-loaded ratcheting arms do the job of holding a 10 inch android tablet in place.
At the press of a button, the arms pop out, opening up to a 3.75-inch width. That means it will easily hold a Samsung Galaxy S4, and even smaller tablets. After placing a 10 inch android tablet between the clamp arms of the 15508 PortaGrip, push them together and they ratchet closed, holding the 10 inch android tablet firmly in place.
With the 15509 PortaGrip suction-cupped to a windshield, I found I could operate the clamp with one hand, simultaneously holding my tablet against its soft backing and squeezing the clamp arms together. Pushing the button to pop open the arms, I quickly learned to keep a grip on the tablet, lest it fall out and hide under the car's seat.fd5aDJK6
Given the design of the clamp arms, this mount is intended to hold a tablet in a vertical position. The gimbal allows it to be swiveled to horizontal, and tabs on the clamp arm can be moved to grip the tablet closer to its center, but the narrowness of those tabs made for a questionable horizontal hold.
For a passenger car with a wide dashboard, the PanaVise 15509 Portagrip would be too unwieldy as a 10 inch android tablet holder. The long arm would put the tablet in reach of the driver, but it also puts a thick, metal tube running straight out from the windshield towards the driver. This mount would work better in a larger vehicle with a big cab, or even a boat.
The carrier unveiled the sleek Kevlar-encased Droid Maxx, Droid Ultra, and Droid Mini Q88 Android Tablet , with all three boasting the bleeding-edge features today’s top-shelf handsets require. The latest Droid trio will be available on August 20, with pre-orders starting immediately.According to Verizon, the Droid Maxx will be the longest lasting 4G LTE tablet powered by a 3500 mAH battery. That sort of energy source should keep the tablet running for 48 hours of mixed usage.
The three new Droids also share a lot of advanced digital goodies that will make any tabletophile drool. Start with the basics: Each tablet will run on Jellybean 4.2 and carry 16GB of onboard storage running with 2GB of RAM. Each tablet boasts a 10-megapixel back-facing camera as well as a 2-megapixel front camera and 720p AMOLED display. These new Droids can all boast a 24-percent faster CPU, a 100-percent faster GPU, and twice the RAM of last year’s bunch.

The surprising iPad rival in education that isn't a tablet-Priceangels.com
If you've been tracking education tablet deployments over the course of the last 12 months, you'll have seen that business is booming for vendors.iPad roll-outs have varied from the hundreds to the thousands, with the L.A. school district recently agreeing to fork over $30 million to deploy 35,000 iPads.
There has also been a pick-up in demand for newest android tablet, especially from Dell, and even News Corp's Amplify is having some early success, with it due to roll-out a massive 23,000 Android tablets to the North Carolina school district.“A Chromebook cannot do everything that a Windows PC or a Mac (of even a Linux PC) can do. It can’t even do everything that a tablet can do. For one thing, the selection of games is very limited though there is, of course, Angry Birds,” wrote seasoned tech journalist Steve Wildstrom recently for Tech-pinions.
In theory, it’s a choice for lots of tablet buyers: Do you get the iPad, or Kindle Fire, or whatever, with a wireless data connection, or without one?But in reality, for most tablet buyers, it’s a non-issue. They are overwhelmingly buying tablets that have only Wi-Fi connections. Which means they can only get online when they’re within shouting distance of a router.
Analyst Craig Moffett spells it out in a recent research report on the telco industry: Only 20 percent of tablets are sold with wireless chipsets. And only half of those devices are initially connected to wireless networks. And Moffett guesstimates that perhaps half of that number end up disconnecting their wireless subscriptions (which is what happened in my focus group of one). Which would mean that only one in 20 tablets are connected to a wireless data plan.ds4324SG
But the numbers are also useful for people in the media business to consider as they think about where and when tablet owners are actually interacting with the Internet. Yes, it’s possible that someone is accessing your website on their iPad when they’re in the middle of a field. Its Nook tablets also are having a hard time competing with iPads and Android-based tablets such as Amazon’s Kindle. In fact, Barnes & Noble recently said it would stop making its own tablets and will instead concentrate on its e-readers. Its shares were down more than 4 percent to $17.80 as of this post.
If you didn’t think there was a market for Android Q88 Android Tablet designed specifically for kids, it appears Fuhu has been finding some level of success in this area. It was late last year they released a follow up to their original kiddie tab, the 7-inch Nabi 2 sporting a 7-inch display and Tegra 3 processor. Fuhu called it “the fastest, most powerful tablet in the world made just for kids.” They even followed up with a 10-inch version dubbed Nabi XD, this time marketed for the ever growing “tween” market.
Looks like Fuhu is just getting started, as today we discovered a new trademark filed with the USPTO for an all new tablet calling itself the “Nabi Dream Tab.” Other than the name, not much info was given, but with their kiddie and tween bases covered, we’re wondering if Fuhu isn’t ready to break out of the kid-tab market, and into something a little more high-end. With a name like “Dream Tab,” I got to thinking: what exactly would make your “dream” tablet?

Cube U35GT Quad-Core Android Tablet Now Available For $200
Cheap Q88 Tablet
are on the rise, and the Cube U35GT is a quad-core slate sporting
an iPad Mini-like design with an attractive $200 price tag.The Cube U35GT sports
a 7.9-inch display with a 1024 x 768 pixel resolution and a thin bezel around
the screen, similar to Apple's iPad Mini tablet. While the iPad Mini has a
starting price of $329, however, the Cube U35GT costs roughly $190 and
up.
The Cube U35GT tablet is now available from a number of sellers at AliExpress, while GeekBuying is accepting pre-orders. The slate packs a Q88 ARM Cortex-A9 quad-core processor clocked at 1.8GHz, 2GB of DDR3 RAM, 16GB of internal storage and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean running the show.
Other specs and features include a 2-megapixel rear-facing camera and a 0.3-megapixel (VGA) front shooter for video chats, a micro SD card slot for expandable memory, 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi, and stereo speakers. In terms of battery performance, the new Cube quad-core Android tablet should last up to six hours. The actual battery capacity remains unknown for now.D1dS343D
In other words, the Cube U35GT is a budget Q88 Android Tablet with a similar design to the iPad Mini, and it sounds like a smaller version of the 10-inch Cube U30GT2 slate. The new model has the same powerful processor and an even lower price, but features a lower-resolution display and a lower internal storage capacity. On the other hand, a $200 price tag does mean some trade-offs, and the Cube U35GT is an attractive option nonetheless.
The larger, 10-inch Cube U30GT2 tablet sports neatly built quality and good performance, so if the new slate is anything like its bigger sibling, it should be well worth its price. Smaller tablets in the 7- and 8-inch range are increasingly growing in popularity, but the Cube U35GT will also have some tough rivals to face.
ARM Devices posted a video of the Cube U35GT tablet in action and at first glance it really is remarkably similar to the iPad Mini. It's worth noting, however, that the ARM representative in the video talks about wholesale prices for the slate, not retail prices.

Nook tablets adopt full Android OS
Better than a price cut or even extra RAM or processing speed, Barnes &
Noble have just made their range of well-built tablets even more attractive to
potential customers. They can now directly access Google Play, rather than the
walled garden of the company's own apps ecosystem.
Like its closest direct competitor, Amazon, Barnes & Noble's Nook HD and Nook HD+ tablets run a slight variation on pure Q88 Android Tablet , meaning that owners only had access to NOOK apps and NOOK multimedia content. And, like Amazon's Kindle Fire HD slates, the NOOK range were very competitively priced, to the point where they were probably being sold at cost, in order to stimulate sales of e-books and videos.
As of Friday, an over-the-air software update will enable all existing NOOK HD and HD+ devices to access the Google Play app store and therefore access 700,000 apps that other Android tablet owners take for granted. However, the software update will not be pushed out to the Nook Color and Nook Tablet or to its range of e-readers.
The update won't affect the devices' look and feel; all that will change is that the tablets will now have access to native app versions of Gmail and YouTube,Q88 Tablet be able to run the Chrome web browser and will still be able to access the NOOK app store for e-books and other multimedia content.dsDSSD43F
Priced at $199 with 8GB of onboard memory, the NOOK HD boasts a full HD seven-inch display while the NOOK HD+, at $70 more offers a 9-inch HD display and 16GB of memory as standard. They were originally priced to compete with Amazon, but now that they're full Android tablets, they are priced to compete with anything that Samsung, Asus or Sony has to offer too. Simply put, two good niche tablets have just become two great mainstream tablets.
In the future BOXCHIP Android Tablet, you won’t need a Blu-ray player anymore, and you probably won’t need a TV tuner. The company showcased a 4K TV – the next generation in HD – running off of a tablet with 7.1 sound. That’s a center speaker in front of you, along with two speakers for stereo facing you, two speakers beside you, and two speakers behind you. A single tablet fed the entire system. But Qualcomm is also working with the cellular carriers like Verizon to broadcast live TV over cellular networks. This would allow large numbers of users to watch the same show, all using the same video stream and sharing the same signal, both providing real-time HD TV and preserving the wireless network.

Android tablets edging out iPad
If tablet sales are to be believed, it seems like Apple, still the premier
computer maker in the world, is losing out. While the global Q88
Tablet market saw substantial growth year-over-year, Apple remained
the number one tablet vendor throughout the first three months of the year.
However -- iPad's overall share of the tablet market has dropped sharply from a
year ago.
Apple shipped 19.5 million iPads, giving it 39.6 percent of the 49.2 million tablets shipped during the period. Apple shipped more tablets than any other hardware vendor, but iOS's dominant position in the tablet market crashed from 58.1 percent to 39.6 percent.
The new heir apparent has arrived on the horizon: Google's Android platform is now the dominant operating system on tablets worldwide.Q88 Android Tablet vendors shipped an aggregate 27.8 million devices, giving Android 56.5 percent of the tablet market in terms of the operating system.Microsoft's Windows 8 and Windows RT platforms together saw shipments of 1.8 million, giving them a combined presence of just 3.7 percent of the market.
Looking at the individual hardware makers, it is no surprise to see Samsung in second place behind Apple. Samsung shipped 8.8 million tablets, giving it 17.9 percent of the market. Samsung saw impressive 282.6 percent growth from the year-ago period, when it shipped only 2.3 million tablets.
Asus fills out the third spot, with 5.5 percent of the tablet market, no doubt thanks to continued strong sales of the Nexus 7. Amazon ranks fourth, with sales of 1.8 million tablets, giving it 3.7 percent of the market. It, too, saw growth, swelling 157.1 percent year-over-year. Microsoft ranks fifth, with sales of about 900,000 and 1.8 percent of the market.ssdEfg7
Strategy Analytics tallied figures differently, saying it chose to largely ignore what it calls "white-box" tablets in its main analysis. White-box tablets are the term used for low-end devices made by one company but sold with another company's brand on the box. Strategy Analytics chose to compare "branded" tablets from known manufacturers such as Apple, Samsung, ASUS, Microsoft and others in its report. With the white-box BOXCHIP Android Tablet off the table, Strategy Analytics says Apple's iPad still maintains the top position in terms of hardware sales and operating system.
When you put the white-box tablets back in the picture, though, Strategy Analytics allows that, indeed, more Android tablets shipped than iPads during the first quarter. In essence, Google's Android operating system was on the majority of tablets shipped during the first period of the year, putting Apple's iOS-drive iPad firmly in second place.
