Cheap Q88 Tablet
are on the rise, and the Cube U35GT is a quad-core slate sporting
an iPad Mini-like design with an attractive $200 price tag.The Cube U35GT sports
a 7.9-inch display with a 1024 x 768 pixel resolution and a thin bezel around
the screen, similar to Apple's iPad Mini tablet. While the iPad Mini has a
starting price of $329, however, the Cube U35GT costs roughly $190 and
up.
The Cube U35GT tablet is now available from a number of sellers at
AliExpress, while GeekBuying is accepting pre-orders. The slate packs a
Q88
ARM Cortex-A9 quad-core processor clocked at 1.8GHz, 2GB of DDR3
RAM, 16GB of internal storage and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean running the
show.
Other specs and features include a 2-megapixel rear-facing camera
and a 0.3-megapixel (VGA) front shooter for video chats, a micro SD card slot
for expandable memory, 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi, and stereo speakers. In terms of
battery performance, the new Cube quad-core Android tablet should last up to six
hours. The actual battery capacity remains unknown for now.D1dS343D
In
other words, the Cube U35GT is a budget Q88 Android
Tablet with a similar design to the iPad Mini, and it sounds like a
smaller version of the 10-inch Cube U30GT2 slate. The new model has the same
powerful processor and an even lower price, but features a lower-resolution
display and a lower internal storage capacity. On the other hand, a $200 price
tag does mean some trade-offs, and the Cube U35GT is an attractive option
nonetheless.
The larger, 10-inch Cube U30GT2 tablet sports neatly built
quality and good performance, so if the new slate is anything like its bigger
sibling, it should be well worth its price. Smaller tablets in the 7- and 8-inch
range are increasingly growing in popularity, but the Cube U35GT will also have
some tough rivals to face.
ARM Devices posted a video of the Cube U35GT
tablet in action and at first glance it really is remarkably similar to the iPad
Mini. It's worth noting, however, that the ARM representative in the video talks
about wholesale prices for the slate, not retail prices.
